I repurchased a sold stock. Why doesn't it show the cost basis for only the new purchase?

Why doesn't Quicken show the new cost basis?

I assume you sold all the shares you previously held, then at a later date you bought more of the same security.

I would start by clicking on Holdings in the account in question, then set the As of date between the sell and the new buy dates. The stock should not appear in the list, because at that point you should have no shares. Is that the case? If not, look at the Sold transaction to see if it is entered correctly.

Now set the As of date after the new buy date. Is the stock listed now? Expected number of shares? Expected cost basis? If not, look at the Bought transaction and make sure it is entered correctly..
