How do I get Quicken to download from my bank prior to my purchasing?

I want to add the transactions prior to May when I purchased the program so I can have a full picture for the entire year of 2020.

    Did you download when you got the program?  The first time you download it usually gives you 60-90 days of transactions.

    When you purchased Q is irrelevant.  Your bank/broker/cards/etc decide how far back any downloaded, initiated from within Q, can go.  30-90 days is customary.

    See the link that @volvogirl provided to see IF you can download older transactions ... which depends upon whether your bank/etc allows such.
    You can always simply type in such older transactions ... but pay attention as to what such older transactions do to your current account balances and your "Starting Balance" in the account.
