Change Account Type

I have an account in $US that shows that it is classified as a "Credit Card" account yet I would like it to be "Other Liabilities". The Account Type is "Credit" and this does not seem to be editable. I have altered the account intent as "liability" but in reports it keeps showing up in credit cards. How can I fix without deleting account and starting all over? If I do delete can I transfer the account history?

Quicken has a very limited ability to change account types, and this one you can't do.

So the way I would handle this is create the new account, and then move the transactions from the old account to the new one and delete the old account.

Thank you. Created new accounts and transferred all transactions then deleted former transactions. Now properly classified in reports.
