Forced update to R31.8 without option to backup. All budgets now missing

As I loaded Quicken today, an auto update started. It did not offer a option to backup. My 2021 and 2020 budgets are now missing. I have validated the QDATA file and tried again. This looked like a major update as it reported changes to the file.

I have a restore point from 1/24/21, but hate to lose 6 days of downloaded transactions and reconciliations.

To prevent Quicken from applying an update without your approval, I suggest you set Windows UAC settings appropriately (choose default or always notify).

If you suspect it's a bug introduced in a recent update and you have access to an earlier Quicken installation program, I suggest you perform a clean uninstall, install while disconnected from the internet, and update to R30.1.  If you haven’t already, you may want to review: https://www.quicken.com/support/using-qcleanui-uninstall-quicken  To update Quicken, I recommend you download and apply the R30.21 patch at: http://www.quicknperlwiz.com/quickenpatches.html

Note: The current Quicken installation program installs R31 even when we're disconnected from the internet.
