Is there a safe and proven method and/or 3rd party program to setup and convert an Excel .xlsx file to .QIF or .QXF for import into a bank account in Quicken (Windows Subscription version)? The goal is to take an Excel transaction register and import it into Quicken to avoid all the manual entry.

You can use my program for that purpose (ImportQIF).
    You can find it here:

To be clear for the next person reading this thread, I used an Excel xlsx current MS Office 365 version and mapped all the columns I wanted using your tool to convert to QIF and import into the current subscription version of Quicken. The import was a transaction ledger into a Quicken bank (checking) account.

Are you still having problems accessing the site?
It is working fine for me.

Note the site is hosted through Weebly/Square so I don't actually control administrate any part of accessing it and keeping it up, but it has been a very reliable web service.
