Balances not totaling

In my investment accounts, when I enter a transaction, the balances in Total Market Value and Securities Value are no longer summing correctly or at all.

In an investing account, looking at the bottom right corner of the transaction list (register), Securities Value plus Cash balance should = Total Market Value. Is this not the case?

This used to be the case but in the last two transactions in two accounts that did not happen. The Total Market Value was almost zero. It seems the shares or values were not included in the totals.

The Securities and Cash values are correct but the Total Market value is not the sum of them and is near zero?  That would certainly be odd.

Is the account value on the Account bar (usually on the left side of your screen) correct or is that also near zero?

What version of Quicken are you running?

First, do a Validate and Repair to see if that fixes it. If you are running a current version, that is on the File menu. Otherwise it is under File Operations on the File menu.

Also, make sure a hidden Placeholder is not causing the problem. Go to Edit > Preferences > Investment Transactions and check the Show Hidden Transactions box if it is not already checked.

Please let us know what you see.

We did have a placeholder issue but weren't able to correct it in the way the directions suggested. So we've just manually added the missing shares and that seems to have worked. Thank you so much for your help with this. It's greatly appreciated!
