Trying to register 2007 Quicken so that I can download my bank transactions.

Hi,
Each time I try to register my "Quicken 2007 Deluxe" online so that I can download my bank transactions it says:

"Connection to registration was unsuccessful. Quicken registration requires cookies and an internet connection. If there is an error registering Quicken, follow the steps below to correct the issue. "

It then goes on to list all sorts of troubleshooting options, all of which I have completed as best I could considering that the advice didn't completely line up with my Windows 10 options. Please advise me in how I can fix this.

Thanks!

QW2007's ability to download transactions expired years ago. To download transactions, you will need to update to the current subscription version of Quicken.

Quicken user since version 2 for DOS, now using QWin Biz & Personal Subscription (US) on Win10 Pro.

Are you talking about Quicken Windows,  Quicken Windows 2007 hasn't been supported since 2011.  So you register and you can't download transactions.

If this is for Quicken Mac yeah posted in the wrong category.

If you are importing a qif file then that is still possible but doesn't require any kind of registration.

Windows Quicken 2007?  That's too old.  Did you mean Q2017?  You have to have a current subscription to download or use any online services.  Quicken Discontinuation Policy

You can buy Quicken here or check in stores…...

FYI - If you don't renew a subscription about 25% of your screen will be taken up with a reminder to renew.  And the Starter Edition will become read only an is limited.

If you need to convert to a newer version you need to go through one or more intermediate versions.  If you don't want to download or import transactions you can stick with Quicken 2013.  I'm using 2013.  It's the last good version before they started requiring an ID.

You can download 2013 Deluxe for free using this how to convert article.  It’s under Converting from Quicken 2004-2009.  2013 is the last good version before they started requiring an ID.

And FYI - If your Quicken was before 2010 you should have several files making up the data.  The main data file ends in .QDF.  All Quicken versions prior to QW2010 store your data in a series of files all sharing the same filename but with different extensions like  - .QDF .IDX, .QEL, .QPH  and all 4 of those files were rolled into a single-file .QDF starting in 2010.

Aww, so sad. I guess I'm out of luck. Yes, I've had Quicken Windows 2007 for quite a few years, now. It's working great, besides having to manually enter all of my transactions.

So you haven't been able to download for many years, right?  In addition to my post above......

If you don't want to buy a current version, You should at least try to convert to the 2013 version since you don’t use any online services or download transactions now.  Then it should run on newer versions of Windows.  Starting in 2014 they instituted an ID password to get into your own data. I’m staying on 2013.

2013 should run on Windows 10.  You can download 2013 Deluxe for free using this how to convert article.  It’s under Converting from Quicken 2004-2009.
