Starting Over..... Old membership/ new data

It's been quite a while since I have used Quicken (Mac)... way to long to try and import and reconcile my old data file. BUT I do have time left on my old membership.
I have successfully loaded QM and am now trying to get up and running from scratch (sorta).
BUT...It seems every time I try to Quote "Start from scratch" Quicken remembers, uses my old login and pulls from that membership data even though I have hopefully "hidden" my old data files.
Any suggestion on how to proceed starting from scratch and using my existing (paid for) membership Would be greatly appreicated.

When you select File > New and then Start from Scratch, are you selecting to NOT enable mobile/web on th next screen? Without that enabled, I don't see how Quicken could pull in any old data.Quicken Mac Subscription • Quicken user since 19930

Thanks Jacobs. I'm not where I can work on the problem at the moment. But I'm thinking you might be correct when it comes to the mobile/web scenario. Thanks for your reply and I'll let you know.
