I would like to upload a spreadsheet of 800 transactions instead of manually entering each one into Quicken. Is it possible to upload an Excel file if saved with .csv extension?

Quicken for Windows can not directly import a CSV file of transactions. You need to use ImportQIF to convert the file to a QIF file for import. It does a great job.
