Update faild to install

I get the message " The process cannot access the 'C::\ProgramData\quicken\inet\common]patch\quickenpatch\w3416\base/RPMMig gration\Migrationtool.exe' because it is being used by another process.
I have reinstalled twice and get the same message.
Please advise. I have no idea what the "other process" is.

    Are you using TrendMicro Antivirus?
    If so, please temporarily disable AV, run the update and then reenable AV.
    Contact TrendMicro Support to ask for a solution to this problem.

  • I tried to disable my trend micro and I think I did
    but it didn't help.. However, I used my quicken original cd
    and reinstalled it and I think the updates worked during the installation.
    At least the screen did not say that I had any more updates.

    Hi @floydedick, I apologize for the inconvenience on this issue. Trend micro can disrupt your updates, you can go to help > and check for updates to see if you are on the latest version now! If you are not or have any issues installing in the future you can try and manually update from our mondo patch, here is the link https://www.quicken.com/support/update-and-patch-20182019-release-quicken-windows-subscription-product
  • Unfortunately. When I use help to check for updates, a window pops up and says “Unknown Error” how do I make sure trendmicro is disabled?
