Installing on a 2nd computer

I have Quicken Premier 2017 on my desktop. It is a desktop version which backs up to the cloud. It is nearing the renewal date. I would like to be able to use it on my laptop. I still have the old disk from 2017. How can I get the software and my data onto my laptop? If I load the software from the disk to my laptop, will it update to the latest version of Quicken automatically? Will my data download from the cloud?
Thanks!

I suggest you install Quicken Premier 2017 while disconnected from the internet and download and apply the Quicken 2017 R20.5 Mondo patch from: http://www.quicknperlwiz.com/quickenpatches.html

Quicken does not backup to the cloud so I suggest you copy the Quicken files from your desktop to the laptop.

I know that my data backs up to the cloud...it might be the Quicken Premier Subscription. The version is R37.67. Would that clarification change your instructions? Thanks!

My guidance would be different if you are using an active Quicken Subscription instead of Quicken 2017:

To install Quicken, I suggest you download and open: https://download.quicken.com/windows/Quicken.exe

Quicken does not backup to the cloud so I suggest you copy the Quicken files from your desktop to the laptop.

If you haven't already, you may want to review: https://www.quicken.com/support/what-quicken-cloud

Note: We may certainly backup our Quicken files to cloud storage, but that is not something Quicken has not done for many years.
