Activation code for Online purchase from Quicken - oops - needed Canadian version

Purchased online from Quicken online.
Received confirmation
$ charged to credit card
Getting prompt to enter activation code.
No help on weekend. Tried reinstalling, closing and reopening. No luck so far
Have prior posts, on which the solution seems to be trial and error and a bit of luck
Any words of advice

    Thank you for reaching out to the Quicken Community. We apologize you are experiencing this issue. To clarify, if you purchased your Quicken from our website (Quicken.com) you should not need an activation code. Could you please attempt to create a new file to override this prompt? 

    To do this select File >New Quicken File. 

    When you have a moment please attempt the steps above and let us know!

    Hi @AlanC ,


    You must use the Quicken Installer from your Quicken Account. It does not require Activation.

    Hi Paloma,

    I tried File/New File, which prompted me to save a second file.

    OR should I have replaced the prior file

    Nevertheless, I am still getting the prompt for activation code

    Will take a look at the links for FAQ after supper

    After you purchased Quicken from the www.quicken.com website - what did you do ?
    Did you then download the software from the Quicken website ?
    Sign into Quicken using the EXACT same Quicken ID/email you used to purchase the software ?

    spoke to customer support, who advised that I purchased the US version - however I live in Canada- hence I can not use this version. Have received refund. Proper link should be www.quicken.com
