No option to set up liability acct in Starter edition [edited]

I am trying to set up a liability account and the only options I have are to be connected or off-line. So that would be either be banking or cash no other options available what’s wrong?

    What version of Quicken are you running? In current US versions Deluxe or higher, I would go to Tools > Add Account > Other Assets and Liabilities > Liability.

    Starter Edition may be limited.

    That’s kind of the frustrating part several years ago I bought the home and business version and then they want you to update and they charge you and now I’m back to a starter edition so I really don’t have what I purchased in the beginning what do I do.

    You need Deluxe or above, the Stater edition doesn't support liability accounts.

    Well well the kicker is I initially purchased a home and business version and now they’ve dumbed me back to a starter edition who do I talk to what do I do. I suppose they just want more money for a higher subscription

    Yes, higher versions of Quicken cost more, but Office Depot has a sale on the Deluxe edition for $32.

    I would suggest contacting Quicken Support to see if they can refund your money for Starter and go for the Deluxe version.

    P.S.  If you actually paid for Home & Business and then got Starter somehow, they definitely need to fix that!  And Quicken Support would be the right people to talk to get it fixed.
