How do I write checks to vendors from my Quicken a/c? Years ago I was able to do that but for some reason it was discontinued?

    When entering the transaction, choose Print Check in the Check # column.
    When you are ready to print checks, got to File > Print Checks.

    Is this what you are doing? What happens when you do this?

    Thanks for the reply. That's not quite what I needed. I wanted to know how to get Quicken to send checks from my a/c to vendors which are listed as payees.

    Sorry I misunderstood your question. There are a couple of ways to issue payments from within Quicken.

    One is to use Bank Bill Pay, where Quicken sends instructions to your bank's bill pay service and the bank sends out the payment, either electronically or by mailing a check. This requires the bank to use the Direct Connect connection method. Not all banks offer this service, and some charge a fee.

    Another is to use Quicken Bill Manager, which uses a third party service and works with all banks. To learn more, search Quicken Help for Pay bills.
