I have mutual fund transactions from the 1980s. Last year when I upgraded my Quicken, it dropped all but the last three years. have the data stored on an external drive. Is there a way to get that into my current file other than typing all the transactions? I need the data to determine cost basis.

Hello @le chef,
Thank you for contacting the Quicken Community with this question.
Unfortunately, there is no way to import only a portion of a file. You would have to import the entire file. You could create a new file and import everything into there to be able to look at it, however, you would still need to manually entire data that you would like to add into your current, active file.
I hope this helps and I do apologize that I could not be of more assistance.-Quicken Jasmine
