Quicken updates- Chase

I keep getting prompted to update Chase accounts but when I do I can’t sync with existing accounts (I tried) so new accounts are set up with years of transactions!
I keep restoring backups and trying again,but the same thing happens!
Please help!

I wouldn't fight it. Instead I would just use this procedure to move the missing transactions from the old account to the new one, and then delete the old account:

Actually let me reframe that. Since the transactions in the old account are already categorized and reconciled, I would delete any duplicate transactions in the new account before moving all the transactions in the old account to the new one.
