Extend Quicken premium subscription

Can I purchase quicken deluxe and use it to extend my quicken premier subscription? What happens if I do that?

    If you purchase Deluxe, you get an subscription for Deluxe ... not an extension to Premier.

    Also, we can only extend current subscriptions within the 6 months prior to the end of the current subscription.
    And if you buy your Quicken to be used for extension or renewing the current subscription from a retailer make sure that the purchase from that retailer is not listed as being for new subscribers only.  The best discounts for Quicken (whether online or from retailers) are usually for new subscribers only.  If it says it is for new subscribers Quicken will not permit it to be used to extend the current subscription or to renew a subscription.
