Wild Cards or Keywords

From google searches do I understand this correctly.

For rules to assign a category or rename a payee Quicken does not have the ability to match except for a complete match. For for example if someone drives a lot cross country then every single McDonalds would need its own rule?

McDonalds transactions show up as the "MCDONALDS <store number>" so either every single store gets its own quick fill rule or every single store needs to be renamed to a common name and have the rule applied to that name.

Quicken does have a feature that at transaction download it will rename payees to a common base name but this then created a different problem. I have my frequent e-transfers named "AAA person's name" so quicken decides to rename them all to "AAA".

Please, I hope, there is a way for me to decide what rules I want.
