Unable to install Quicken R51.12 - Windows Username has “space” (edit)
The update never prompted any administrator's username and password. This problem does not happen with R50.xx.

@sfpeter - did you try the 2nd option? The "quickenPatch.exe" can be found here - C:\Program Files (x86)\Quicken
Right click on the file and choose "Run as Administrator".

Yes, I did, and I got this error now.

Does your username have a space in it? Look here to confirm - C:\Users\[your user name]

Yes, I do.

Ok, that is a known issue. If you search this community on "wyserver" you can find a solution. One solution is to create another user account with a name without spaces, but I have never done this so I am hesitant to give you any advice. There are several of the super users that have dealt with this in more detail. Hopefully they can provide guidance after you search the posts here.

Those posts are from 2022, and one post from 2021, and the same issue is still not fixed. I do not have the problem with R50.xx. So old bugs come back?
