More Canadian version Questions
HI, I have the 2012 Canadian version of home and business. I want to upgrade to the new Canadian Home (Deluxe) version as I have retired from business. What happens to all my old business files as I still need to access them for taxes for the next 7 years? Is it possible to keep 2012 running and have the new version running beside it? Also can you confirm the Canadian Deluxe version still tracks investment Cost Basis? Tried to find the answers in the forum and online but no luck? Thanks

When you downgrade editions the data file doesn't really change, just features are turned off. In the case of business accounts they will change their "type", but will remain in the lower editions. Quicken Windows Subscription Canadian does support investment transactions.

Thanks Chris, I understand that the Canadain version won't link to auto track investments but are you saying that even manually entered investments aren't possible? Thanks

On the downloading of investment transactions. Yes, that is very limited in Quicken Windows Canadian, but it is the same no matter if you have the Deluxe or the Home and Business edition.

Looks like Chris said it DOES support investments.
I'm staying on Quicken 2013 Premier for Windows.

Absolutely, the only problem with it is that very few Canadian financial institutions support it. And it should be noted that the Starter edition doesn't support investment accounts.
