importing security prices using csv file

Currently I am unable update my Schwab using One Step Update.

So, I decided to try and at least update the prices using a .csv file, however I can't get Quicken to process the .csv file.

I created .csv file using Excel. Here is sample of one of the entries:

ADOBE INC 2.3%30 DUE 02/01/30,89.5166 (the name of the security is copied from the Quicken security list)

When I attempt to upload the file I get a message saying : "File not found or unreadable."

Any idea what I am doing wrong?

I got the text file to work but I am having a problem in that Quicken does not have a "symbol" for all of the bond investments I need to update.

But I guess that is a separate issue/question.

Use a fake symbol. What I tend to do for securities that have no symbol or maybe had one in the past but are no longer around is put a _ in front of a symbol. And make sure you turn off downloading the price for that one.

As a couple of side notes. Prices for securities that aren't "public" are done by CUSIP and are downloaded with your transaction information from your broker. If you ever have to use a QIF export/import and need security prices, Quicken only exports prices for securities that have a symbol. So, to get them to export you have to put in fake symbols for this use case too.
