Opening transaction in an account gets deleted somehow.
This has happened to me twice in the past few months using Quicken Classic Premier (Windows). I go to reconcile a credit card account and it will not balance to zero. So I restore a backup from a month ago and discover the first transaction for the account has been deleted. This is always a reconciled transaction that is years old. I reenter the missing transaction and the account balances to zero.
What could be causing this? Is anyone else experiencing this?

I am experiencing this issue too. Quicken is deleting random transactions. I just posted a question about this exact same issue.

To help troubleshoot this issue, could you please clarify some information? You mentioned you restore a backup and discover the missing first transaction. Is that first transaction missing in the backup, or are you using that backup as a reference to figure out what went wrong in your main file?
