CDN Mac Version can access US Banks but CDN Windows version cannot. Why is this acceptable?

I purchased Quicken for personal use, so I could not use company Windows based machine. So I installed Quicken on a Mac. Works fine. Accesses data from both Canadian and US banks. Now I bought my Windows based PC and reinstalled (Canadian version again) and now I only have access to Canadian banks and cannot access US banks (TD Bank US for example). I can download QFX files from the bank site, but Quicken will not allow me to import it.

Seems pretty odd to me that the Quicken Mac Team has it figured out (or is allowed to access the data) but there are different rules for the Quicken Windows team. Is there a workaround, other than manual data entry? Thanks.

    There is actually an idea marked as planned to allow the Windows versions to do this, but history is the main reason it isn't so right now. Quicken Mac was rewritten and it at that time that the functionality was added. Quicken Windows hasn't been. There is also the fact that Quicken Mac doesn't have real multiple currency support. For the most part it just treats them as "numbers", whereas Quicken Windows does, and it is much more "picky" about what it will accept. And there is a difference between the Quicken Windows US's support for multiple currency and Quicken Windows Canada (It has the best multiple currency support of all the version so of Quicken). So, it is not only just getting the feeds of the data to allow from both, but in reality the biggest stumbling block is probably updating the old code to support it.

    As for importing transactions, there are conversion programs that can create QFX/QIF files from other formats like CSV if the financial institution provides those. You might find my free program ImportQIF useful for this. You can find it on my website: https://www.quicknperlwiz.com/
