Version R55.26

Build 27.1.55.26

I have read the help, search the community but none of the instructions work. Transfer is not listed in my Column list. Where do I turn this on?

To create a Linked Transfer

  1. Select the source account from the Accounts section of the sidebar.
  2. Create a new transaction (Click the New icon in the register toolbar or type ⌘N).
  3. Enter information about the transaction.
  4. Enter the name of the destination account in the Transfer column.
    • If you don't see the Transfer column: Click the Columns icon in the register toolbar (or control + click the column header) and turn on the transfer column.
  5. Click Save or hit the Enter key to complete the transaction.

If you look at the symbol in #2 you will notice that it had the Apple "command key" symbol.

You are looking at a Quicken Mac article.

For Quicken Windows, the category field is used as either a category or a transfer where the syntax is [Other Account].

That's because this Community website and the Support website handle all flavors of Quicken: Windows, Mac, Web and smartphone app.
