How Do I Beta Test?

I've been ill for a while and just want to know what I need to do as a beta tester? After I sign in, I roam around but can't find anything to tell me if I need to download something or am I just suppoese to ask questions. And what is this Quicken Simplifi (sp?)? Am I just way off base when I thought I would be testing new software? Help please, I'm getting a headache again.
