Why ISN'T 'Call Date' available as a Display Column under INVESTMENT tab?
I've seen this raised a few times - but never answered fully. I can add "call date' under 'edit security' but it's not an available column to sort by. Am I missing something? I get it - 20 years of near-zero interest rates, no one cared. But, this really is needed these days.

It wouldn't be possible to add such for only SOME securities … that's just not how databases work. And adding that column for ALL securities would result in bloat with zero benefit for most securities.
Just add the Call Date in the existing Memo field of the applicable transactions.

@NotACPA I disagree. There are already fields for securities with Type = Bond allowing for separate Maturity Date and Call Date entries. The issue is not being able to present the Call Date information in Reports or Portfolio views. Portfolio views do allow inclusion of the Maturity Date, but not the Call Date. The Maturity Dates … report includes that data, but not the Call Date.
@dnag We cannot answer such 'Why' questions. The ability is simply missing. I don't see where you have raised this question before on this community site. I'll flag to a moderator to revise this post to an Idea post in the Windows Ideas / Investment section.

PS: I did include that request in my Idea to improve the Maturity Date Report

Thanks - i will consider "memo" as a work-around for now. (Not looking to debate but:) not sure I follow the "zero bloat" logic. There are many columns already (standard "maturity date" - which doesn't apply to equities or "Ticker Symbol" which only applies to equities but not fixed income) where many items are "zero". I don't see that as a limitation in any way.
