Investments View is not diplaying Titles/Labels for all columns

Windows 10, Quicken Classic (R54.17 27.1.54.17).

I have 12 Columns to display in the Investments Window, but only 7 of them actually display the Title or Label for the column. I have not been able to resolve this by changing width, font, column number, or system font settings (size) or graphics properties. Has anyone also had this problem and found a solution? I see the column names only when hovering over it with the mouse.

Can you post a graphic of those column headers that ARE showing? Which aren't showing?

And, as your profile would seem to indicate, is this happening in Q Canada?

    Hello NotACPA

Thanks for looking at this post. I am using Quicken Canada version, and have attached a png of the headers of the Investments View. It'd be nice to have this solved. It's been like this for a very extended duration and although it does not cause errors, it is inconvenient and is getting old as an ongoing issue. This is something

Quicken has either not resolved, been made aware of, or I am alone in this situation.

Boy, that's weird. As a wild guess, have you tried Validating your file? Strange as it might sound, some display items are actually stored in the file rather than being hard-coded into the program.

    I’d be considering graphical issues.

Is Quicken full screen or a window? Can you widen the window?

    Is this a two-screen setup?

Are you using large fonts or some similar setting?

Any other possibilities I’m not smart enough to know about?

I have not run that, but I will. As an aside, I also found that in some of the columns if I manually slide the width of the column width adjustment wider or narrower nothing happens EXCEPT on a couple of them I found the Title would display after the width was forced to be too narrow to display the data in the column, but it would disappear again after widening the column to enable full view of the values. I am not using the extended decimal placements for accuracy either. Oh oh, "When there's something strange in your Quicken Window - Who you gonna call…"

Off to run the validation routine. Thanks for suggestion.

I see similar blank column headers. It's been like that for years. I run Quicken on Windows 11 with a display resolution of 3840 x 2160 at 200% scaling.

I have qw.exe Properties → Compatibility → Change high DPI settings:

Override high DPI scaling behavior is checked

    Scaling performed by: System (Enhanced)

I suspect my issue is probably related to running on a 4k screen. Most of the Quicken UI renders fine, but there are a few areas that show anomalies.

I have also a 4k monitor so you may be on to something. I have same properties you've stated for qw.exe as well.

    Hello q_lurker:

Quicken Setting is not set to run in Full Screen. I do maximize the Window it is running in to full screen size. This is a single monitor configuration. I have not elected to use Quicken's option for Large Fonts, but doing so now does not resolve this columns issue.

I have elected to use Quicken's Standard Menu, and opting to try the Classic Menu has not resolved this issue.

Its a GUI glitch that happens when using a 4K monitor. If you change the DPI override to "Application" or "System", the column headers in Investments (and Budgets) show as they should, but the fonts in the app overall are not as clear as they are with the System (Enhanced) setting. It's too bad bc the type clarity is excellent but the hover doesn't work with the Budget headers, and that's a nuisance (for me).
