Where is "show hidden accounts"?
I can't figure out how to display (bank) accounts I no longer use and have hidden but have not deleted. There used to be a "show hidden accounts" button on the accounts list page. Can some one help me? I want to reconcile an account I have recently quit using.

Bottom left side of Account List screen.

Hidden Accounts can also be found by working with the Accounts Sidebar.
Look for and click "More Accounts" at the bottom of each sidebar section, e.g., Banking, Investing, etc. This opens a popup window with a list of hidden accounts. Select the desired account from there.

I do not see "MoreAccounts" on my screen. I have a Quicken for Windows subscription, Version R60.20

No? What does your Accounts Sidebar look like?
Is it open, showing on either the left or the right side of your Quicken window?
Is it expanded to show the list of regular (not hidden) accounts? (in my image example, the sections about accounts in the Banking, Business and Property & Debt accounts have been closed, to keep all of my personal accounts personal)0 -
Is it possible that you have the Display Options tab of Account Details set to Keep this account separate? If so uncheck that box so the accounts will show up in the original account Groups or in the "More Accounts" subgroup. (NOTE: If you do not see the Separate group in the side bar Accounts list, then you do not have any accounts set to be kept separate.)

My account list shows various different types of accounts, but "show hidden accounts" or "more accounts" does not appear on my screen. I've used Quicken for more than 20 years.

If you have accounts that you have marked as hidden, you would see the controls that @Scooterlam and @UKR have illustrated. If you have not marked accounts as hidden, then these controls will not be visible in the UI. So perhaps they are not marked as hidden (or there is an application bug and data corruption).
You indicated that you did not delete these accounts, yet you have no visibility to any of these "hidden" accounts. You did not answer @Boatnmaniac question as to whether these accounts could have been marked as "separate" which would place these accounts into a separate account category in the account bar, as he illustrates. Nonetheless, you WOULD see these "separate" accounts in the account list.
Have you had a look at the File>Manage Hidden Accounts screen? Are they missing there as well. They would only show here if the hidden attribute is check in account details screen.
Are you are using the same data file as you did previously (when you could see these hidden accounts)? That is, your not using multiple data files where you did account deletes etc? Do you have backups you can explore for these missing accounts? Do you remember when (and what your were doing when) these file went missing?
Perhaps, you can backup your datafile and try a file validation, File>Validate and repair file to check if there is any repairable data file corruption?

I opened three old files in Quicken. In all cases, when I went to "Tools" and "Manage Hidden Accounts", I got a long list of accounts, some from years ago. When I did that with my current account, I got a list of my twelve active accounts; none were hidden. Is that likely to be a software problem, or is my data file corrupted?

@tjones2033 - You have been asked 2X to advise if the missing accounts are marked as Separate but I have seen no response to that, yet. Go to Tools > Manage Hidden Accounts. If the missing accounts are shown there you should be able to uncheck the Hidden or Separate box so the accounts show up again.

If you can see all the missing accounts in your three older (restored backup?) files but cannot find them in your current main file, it is a pretty strong indication that it is not a software issue and that your current main data file is perhaps corrupted.
If the accounts do not show up in Manage Hidden Accounts:
Have you tried doing what @Scooterlam suggested: File > Validate and repair file? This can fix some data and file issues. (Note: I recently saw a recentModerator post that after running V&R the data log and Quicken should be closed for at least 5 seconds before reopening Quicken so see if the issue has resolved or not. I had not heard that before but it certainly won't hurt to do as she suggested.)
If the issue persists, proceed to Super Validate. (If the issue is resolved after performing validation, then do not do Super Validate).: File > Hold CTRL+Shift and click Validate and Repair File... > Super Validate File > OK > closed Data Log and Quicken > wait at least 5 seconds and then Reopen Quicken.

I tried Validate and Supervalidate and found no change or improvement. However, I realized I may have misled you by leaving out some significant facts. Sometime in 2023, I almost got scammed, so the bank had me close all my banks accounts and create new ones after a delay period, I lost no money! After this I was able to reconcile the various accounts, I had just about recovered from this and in mid-2024 I had a password catastrophy. I'm not sure how I screwed up, but I did, and this time it mostly involved investment accounts. After several weeks, I managed to reconcile all of my investment accounts from mid-July of 2024 to the end of the year. This did involve going back to some old Quicken files and copying transactions. Sometime during all this, I have somehow lost the ability to view my hidden files. But, of course. there's still the fact that with these old files I can still see my hidden files. Any thoughts?
