starting Quicken it goes to task bar Icon but will not open?

I double click on the Quicken I con on my desk top and instead of opening it goes directly to the task bar and is an Icon there. When I try to open this icon a white square opens and disappears off to the right of my screen.

Tried the reboot but no change.

Today is my anniversary of buying quicken, I got renewal email notice but did not think I needed to act on anything they just processed a charge to my credit card?
