wells fargo transactions not downloading to quicken

Quicken Windows Subscription Member

After 2 months of having to manually download Wells Fargo credit card transactions via direct connect and trying multiple fixes to get express connect to work (see prior discussions), I got it fixed today.

First, I deactivated downloads for my Wells Fargo account in quicken. Then I went to Wells Fargo and searched 'manage connected apps'. I saw quicken as authorized. I deauthorized it. I went back to quicken, went to wells account, edit account details, on line services and set up downloads. It took me through the Wells Fargo site, I had to sign in and it sent me a text for 2 factor authorization. Quicken then was able to reestablish express connect and voila!, IT IS NOW WORKING!

Thank you so much for this - finally I have my Wells Fargo transactions downloading again. Been months without a solution and no help from Quicken - glad you shared so this could easily be fixed!

maybe this is a true fix, but customer service told me the other day there is no way to download pass transactions and the task is to identify all missing transactions and enter them individually. Keeping a paper check book register was simpler and more reliable than quicken.

Dumping Quicken Managed Connected apps in Wells Fargo and deactivating all accounts. Then reactivating then finally changing connection type in Quicken to EXPRESS WEB is the solution.

Thanks johnbwoodmd for the pointer to dump Connected apps. That was the key.
