Target Transaction doesn't download anymore since early-mid March 2025

It looks like this was temporarily resolved for some. Unfortunately, not for me. I'm still getting multiple 2FA requests when updating and even then, it looks to be processing then doesn't download new transactions.
Please let me know if anyone has found a resolution other than just not using the card.

This does not work for me yet. I did 2FA 3 times and then the error I got was "Oops. There is a connection problem."

I'm having the same issue, getting the 2FA but no downloads and a manual download just gives an error. Interestingly, I'm having the exact same issue with Nordstrom.
In looking back through community history these same issues seem to pop up periodically, get resolved and happen again. I'm not sure why it takes so long for the problem to get resolved from Quicken? Either as a fix or as an ongoing update to Quickens users. It gets old checking in periodically only to find no update or the dreaded "No estimated time" Not helpful Quicken!

Just wanted to add that for me, I get the dialog within Quicken asking me to send the code to my phone or email.. i've tried both, and the code never arrives for me to enter. Very frustrating.

I've also tried both options, never get the text. I do get the email but entering the code does nothing.

Does anyone from Quicken reads these messages or is this just a sounding boarding? The QFX file downloads from Targer just like anyother bank(CHASE) but Quicken does not open the Target QFX file. Please fix if anyone from Quicken reads these post!

Just like other users, after being temporarily resolved, Quicken is no longer updating transactions despite receiving 2FA code and processing. Additionally, Quicken cannot seem to import transactions downloaded manually from the Target website.

EVERYTIME I go to download it asks me to verify the account by either sending the code to my email or phone (the phone contact doesn't seem to work at all) . I have stopped the download link and will have to import the transactions from their web portal. PLEASE FIX THIS. It is really annoying.

I've been getting the same message since Target did its massive update in March. I verify my account via email (because the phone option doesn't work), and then it appears to update my account. However, even though Quicken says the update has been completed and shows the current date and time, it doesn't actually download any new transactions.

I have the same problems as everyone else where new transactions won't download from Target. I tried deactivating then reactivating the online setup, which completes successfully, but no downloads from Target, even though there are new transactions.
Like everyone else, I'm having 2FA issues as well. I have my email and mine and my wife's mobile numbers set up for 2FA. These work fine from the Target website, but in Quicken my email works and I get the code, but selecting either mobile number always sends the SMS message to my wife's mobile number.
Quicken is a great product and I've used it for decades, but lately it seems every month I have to fix one or more QFX download issue to keep Quicken working.

Yesterday a transaction from 4/7 was downloaded along with this one:
Today this transaction was downloaded again, but not the two actual transactions that are posted on the Target web site. 2FA seems to be working and I am not seeing any errors. I did upload a problem report.

The One Step Update is connectingfor me with Target however, quicken is not downloading any of my Target Transactions.

One Step Update asks me where to send a code to. I respond, get the code, and enter it into the next popup. The download says it succeeds, but does not download anything.
Since this didn't work, I downloaded a QFX file from the website. I selected "Import transactions from bank website", this popup says to go to www.target.com to dowload my transactions (which is not the correct website) and import the file. When I do this, I get the attached popup and still nothing loads

My Target One Step Update has been working, but the fact that all these other Quicken users are having problems, including even QFX downloads, is disturbing and make me think the system is apparently unstable. And the 5% discount for using the Redcard (or whatever they're calling it these days) is hardly worth the hassle. So if we do shop at Target, I plan to just use my Visa or Mastercard until this is really fixed for all users. It's too bad Target has so little regard for its customers.

I am just about at the point where I will be cancelling my Target Red card. Agree it is not worth the hassle. Tracking expenditures is a basic expectation for both Quicken and any issuers of credit cards.

Is this Quicken or Targets fault. In any event i'm not sure why it takes months to resolve. This problem began in March and Quickens lack of updates or direction is troubling, given a subscription is now $96 up 20% from last year.
At this point I've just removed Target from my downloads so I don't go through the 2FA process every day.

I was able to successfully do a one Step Update with Target this morning. All of my transactions downloaded. I think that I have found the problem. Target now reqires you to verify your phone number and Email addresses. If you go into your account on the Target website you will see the word "Verify" next to your email addresses and phone nubers. Make sure that they are indicated correctly or update them. Click "Verify. ' Once you do this with each, you will have to go through their process with each. When you are done try a one step update and it should work!

I did this and was excited that neither my phone nor email was verified. I quickly took care of that and loaded Quicken. I immediately tried it with Quicken, after 3 two-factor verifications though, it did not work.
I will try again later. I'm also going to try alternating the two-factor verifications between email and phone. I'm optimistic that Lewis Bernstein's tips may work!

Confirmed this worked for me. Had to verify both phone and email. After doing that it worked, though still prompting for 2FA, which I can live with I guess.

It worked, it worked - or at least up until April 17 (my last statement closing date). I did two factors by email.
I may have to still have to do 2-factor during Quicken download, but at least I got. The bad thing is now my shock to see all the junk my wife bought over the last few weeks!

For me when downloading from Target, I not only have to do the 2FA each time, but some transactions are missing. This has been going on for about three weeks. I get some of the transactions, but a segments of them is missing. I have to go to the website, find them, and enter them manually. I don't want to download them because in the past, that has resulted in duplicate transactions, sometimes going way back into the past and it's a huge pain to correct them.
My theory is that it's only downloading transactions that are on one statement. When I go to the website and look at the transactions, I have to designate a statement. Then it shows me just the transactions on that statement. I think it may be doing the same thing with the downloads to Quicken. Right now, all transactions since the first of the month are missing, even though today is the 10th. This needs to be fixed.

Still broken on the Mac! I am getting hassled for multi-factor every time I run One Step Update. I don't know if it's downloading anything because I haven't been to Target in a week or so but then it didn't work. This is super annoying and only Target pulls this nonsense. I'm getting close to telling them to get lost.

For me, MFA completes successfully, but transactions still aren’t downloading. I did notice that the “Online Balance” at the bottom of the screen is updating and matches what’s shown on the Target website. As for transactions, it worked for about a week after it was fixed but appears to be broken again.

Question for Quicken. I noticed that the accounts I don't have download issues are all identified in Tools>Account List as Express Web Connect+ or Direct Connect. The accounts with issues, no downloads, requests for 2FA (Target, Nordstrom) are just Express Web Connect (no plus sign) could this be the issue?
