Income transactions from Bank of America duplicate the download after a reconcile [Edited]

Every time I reconcile my checking account, and then download transactions from the bank, I get all the income transactions from the first of the month downloaded again. This happens every month. [Edited - Readability]

    Hello @James Koski,

    Thank you for letting us know you're seeing an issue with transactions duplicating. To clarify, I see you posted this discussion in the Investing section of the Community, but in your post, you specify this happens when you reconcile your checking account. Is this happening with investment accounts also?

    You mentioned this happens after you reconcile. Do you edit the income transactions during the reconcile? If you haven't already done so, I recommend following the troubleshooting steps in this article on duplicate transactions:

    this happened again this month for the bank account. all deposit or revenue transactions from the beginning of the month were re-sent or re-downloaded again after we reconciled the bank statement. yes we do get duplicated transactions for the Schwab accounts from time to time we also get missing transactions.

    How exactly do you download transactions from the bank?
    Do you use One Step Update or Update Now?
    Or do you download a QFX transaction file from the bank's website and import same into Quicken?
    Or do you mix and match One Step Update with additional QFX downloads?

    got the July statement from Bank Of America and did the reconcile of the account yesterday and again when I downloaded transactions this morning all the revenue or deposit from the first of July were downloaded again. I am using the One step Update every day.

    Wait a minute … are you really reconciling your account register first, and then you are downloading transactions from the bank?

    If you do it the other way around, first download and accept transactions, then reconcile your account register to the bank statement, you won't get downloaded duplicates.
    Quicken will match any downloaded transactions to already existing register transactions or scheduled reminders. Unmatched transactions will be presented as "New" so you can create new register transactions when needed or manually match to existing register transactions.
    After you're done downloading and accepting transactions, Reconcile will let you compare your register to your bank statement.

    I download transactions every day every morning. when I get an email from the bank that a statement is available I logon into the bank and print the statement then go to quicken a reconcile the account during the day. I have been doing this for 20 years with not problems now every month the revenue transactions are resent????????????

    again this month after the reconcile of the bank statement the next day the revenue transactions from the first of the month were resent.
