Why did Quicken develop duplicate entries for many transactions?
In the past 2 -3 weeks many previous entries in my Quicken (R62.16) developed duplicates. I called Quicken Help but the tech had no suggestions except to manually delete the duplicates.
I enter all my transactions manually and do not back up to the cloud.
does anyone have any suggestions?

Do you download into any of the accounts that experienced duplicates? If so, have you recently changed the download method, say from Web Connect to Express Web connect (or a change involving Direct Connect)?
Do you download from QWeb or Q Mobile?
Have you tried taking a backup and then Validating your data file? FILE, Validate and Repair file.

Mine did the same thing in two of my accounts just overnight. I reconciled yesterday, as I do most every day, and all was fine. It created both duplicate deposits and payments for many transactions
