Two-finger scrolling via Touchpad stopped working
Quicken Classic Premier (R63.21) Windows 11
Something changed in Quicken after I updated to this build. Previously, I could scroll all Quicken windows up/down using the Windows 11 two-finger scrolling. Now, I have to scroll by using the scroll bars.
Two-finger scrolling works as expected in all my other Windows apps.

Hello @ed1,
Thanks for reporting this behavior.
Just to confirm—are you referring to two-finger scrolling on a laptop trackpad? I tested this on my end using the same Quicken build (R63.21 on Windows 11), and two-finger scrolling is still working properly for me in Quicken Classic for Windows.
To help us better understand what might be causing the issue on your end, could you please provide a bit more detail?
- When did this issue first start—was it immediately after updating to R63.21, or did it begin sometime after?
- Where is your Quicken data file stored? Is it saved on your local hard drive (C: drive) or on a cloud-based or external drive (like OneDrive, Dropbox, USB, etc.)?
- Are you noticing this scrolling issue across all screens, or only in specific areas like the register, Bills & Income, etc?
- Have you tried any troubleshooting steps so far? If so, what did you attempt?
We’ll do our best to help you get this sorted!

HELP! I am having this same problem as of this evening! I cannot two-finger scroll with the Windows laptop trackpad for registers and any other Quicken screens where scrolling was previously possible (registers and bills/income reminder lists).
Quicken Version: R63.21 Build 27.1.63.21
Quicken data file is on the local C: hard drive. No scrolling problems on other apps used on the laptop.

Hello @Kevin172,
Thank you for chiming in and sharing those details! Before you begin troubleshooting, please save a backup first (just in case).
To start with—have you tried uninstalling/reinstalling Quicken? Please refer to the following support articles for instructions on uninstalling here and reinstalling here.
However, after you have uninstalled and before you proceed with reinstalling, please open your Windows File Explorer and navigate to This PC > C: Drive > Program Files (x86) and delete the folder titled "Quicken" (doing so does not affect your data files).
After you have deleted this folder, go ahead and try reinstalling.
Let us know how it goes!

Hello @Quicken Anja,
Yes. I am referring to two-finger scrolling on my laptop trackpad.
Additional detail that you requested:
- I first noticed this issue some indeterminate time after updating to R63.21.
- My Quicken data file is stored on my local hard drive (C: drive).
- I observe this scrolling issue in the windows that I use most frequently: account registers, the account bar (docked on the left), and the OSU progress window. I have not function-tested other Quicken windows.
- Troubleshooting steps: confirmed that touchpad settings are correct for my purposes, confirmed that the latest relevant device drivers are installed.

@ed1 Thanks for the update!
Have you had a chance to try the steps above that I shared previously in response to the other user experiencing the same issue? If not, I recommend giving those a try and letting me know how it goes. That will help us determine next steps based on your results.
Thank you!

Two finger scrolling in any window of Quicken, Account registers, Investments, Bills and Income has stopped working in the last several days. I can still scroll using the touch screen or the scroll bars on the right of the window. Please resolve the issue.

Two-finger scrolling in my Quicken windows inexplicably started working again. Since I posted my first message, Quicken has crashed several times during OSU. That's a separate issue worthy of its own thread. However, after the last such crash three days ago, two-finger scrolling in Quicken windows started working and so far, it persists. Unfortunately, the crash during OSU also persists. Quicken software seems quirky. Hopefully, some brilliant Quicken software engineer will be able to determine why Quicken fails in these two areas (two-finger scrolling and crashes) and code a permanent fix. I wish him/her luck in this endeavor.
