Using Windows R 63.21, Started entering transactions in Jan and so far, so good until today. My "Income" file entries are automatically showing as debits(negative numbers) instead of credits. Very frustrating, I keep deleting the entry, shutting down and trying again but to no avail. Help

    Hello @buymilk,

    Thanks for reaching out!

Let’s walk through a few quick checks to help sort this out:

    • First, have you recently edited or deleted the Opening Balance transaction in this account register? That one can have a big impact on how your balances behave — especially if it was removed or changed to a negative amount by mistake. You can usually find it at the very beginning of your register.
    • Also, when you're entering these income transactions, are you selecting an income category (like "Salary" or "Interest Income") or something else? Using an expense category by accident can flip the amount into a debit.
    • Lastly, does this happen across all income entries now, or just specific ones? If it's just a few, it could be due to auto-fill pulling in a memorized transaction with a reversed sign.

A quick test you can try:

    1. Go to the account register.
    2. Enter a new transaction using a known income category.
    3. Double-check the sign and see how it’s showing up.

Let me know what you find—we’ll troubleshoot from there!
