Clicking on Bills & Income Locks up Quicken

I am using Quicken Classic on Windows. When I choose the BILLS & INCOME menu, the program locks up and I have to end task to close it and start over. This happens repeatedly. This has happened in the past as well, but goes away after an update. I have version R63.21 Build 27.163.21. All other functions seem to work, though I do not use most of them. I just use Bills & Income and the registers of my accounts.

    Hello @drowell2608,

Thank you for reaching out and letting us know about the issue you're experiencing.

To help us get a clearer picture and assist you more efficiently, could you please share a bit more information?

    • Where is your Quicken data file currently saved—on your local C: drive, or in a cloud or external location (like OneDrive, Carbonite, Dropbox, a USB drive, etc.)?
    • Have you tried any troubleshooting steps already? If so, what did you attempt?
    • When did the problem first begin?
    • Were there any major changes to your system or software right before this started (e.g., updates, new programs, settings changes)?

These details will go a long way in helping us identify the root of the problem.

    Looking forward to your reply!

My Quicken file is located on my local drive. I have not tried anything because I have no idea what to do. This most recently started this week, but has happened periodically ever since I have used this program. My computer had a Windows update 2-3 weeks ago, but it worked after that.

Thank you for sharing those details!

Have you tried uninstalling/reinstalling Quicken? Please refer to the following support articles for instructions on uninstalling here and reinstalling here.

However, after you have uninstalled and before you proceed with reinstalling, please open your Windows File Explorer and navigate to This PC > C: Drive > Program Files (x86) and delete the folder titled "Quicken" (doing so does not affect your data files).

After you have deleted this folder, go ahead and try reinstalling.

Let us know how it goes!
