Having trouble setting up a Wealthscape account for download
I've searched here for a solution and have tried everything mentioned with no luck. I've had my broker double check that I should have access too.
I can log onto the Wealthscape website with no problems. I can go into the account in Quicken and go through the process of setting it up for downloading. It will connect to Wealthscape fine, but it doesn't return any accounts to link to, it's just empty. I have 2 accounts there that I should be able to see and link to existing accounts in Quicken but nothing.
If I try and download transactions it will return the OL-306-A error saying I'm not authorized for this request. While my broker says everything on their end is ok, I bet there's something nested down in multiple layers that has to be checked. Wealthscape just directs me back to the broker.
Any ideas, or info I should tell the broker to look for?
Thx

Hello @Hopeless_Diamond,
Thanks for the detailed info! It sounds like you're not seeing any accounts returned during setup, so the issue likely lies on the authorization side rather than with anything in Quicken itself.
The OL-306-A error typically means Quicken isn't being granted access to your account, even if you can log in to the Wealthscape website. This can happen for a few reasons:
- The account is not enabled for Direct Connect downloads (even though it's visible online).
- The account type isn’t supported for downloads in Quicken.
- There’s a missing authorization flag on the account level that your financial institution needs to enable.
Since Wealthscape often refers users back to the broker, I’d suggest asking your broker to specifically check:
- Are both accounts enabled for Quicken Direct Connect?
- Has Quicken access been turned on for each individual account?
- Are the accounts set up as supported investment types for download?
Also, if you contact Wealthscape again, you can ask to speak with a supervisor or a Tier 2 agent before being referred back to your broker. They tend to be more familiar with third-party integrations like Quicken and may be able to spot something that’s otherwise overlooked.
Thank you!
