Target Card will not load transactions past 7-20-25. Using MacOS Sonoma 14.6.1
I have attempted all avenues to reset, confirm, and open a completely new account. All efforts according to Quicken are connected with no errors noted by the program. However, there is a significant failure error for the user of this program when nothing is downloaded. Each time I attempt to connect or create a new account the program states success. When I look at the account it loads all transactions up to 7-20-25. I have confirmed on the Target website that there are cleared transactions which should be loaded into Quicken.
I have had multiple accounts that have worked in the past (Best Buy, Kohls, Wells Fargo Mortgage and now Target) that have failed in the recent past. I have resorted to closing the accounts in the Quicken program due to the constant errors from Quicken. Extremely unfortunate for such failure on Quicken's part. Cannot and will not recommend Quicken to anyone. [Removed - No Soliciting/Rant]

Hello @Clubbhouse Finance,
Thank you for letting us know you're encountering this issue. It is a known issue that our teams are working to resolve.
In the meantime, some customers reported that no transactions download until the statement period closes, and then, everything from that statement period downloads. If that is the case for you also, you should see more transactions download once your statement closes.
Thank you!

Have you set up 2 step authentication on your Target Account lately . Now, I get a pop-up window in Quicken where Target asks if I want an email or text message for them to send an authentication code. Once I have that code, a new pop-up opens with a space to enter the code. Once that is entered and submitted my transactions will download.

FWIW, I just disconnected the Target account and reconnected using "Target Guest Card" as the Financial Institution. It looks like the connection is good. I can't prove it with certaintity since I have nothing new to download, but it doesn't show the error messages and Quicken thinks it worked.

I just did what Alan recommended - connecting with "Target Guest Card" and it also looks good. Thank you Alan.

I also tried connecting using the Target Guest Card. The connection was not successful, just like using Target National Bank.
Also, I found this in the FAQ section of the Target website: (Unfortunately, I have not been successful with manual updates)
"Third Party Data Aggregators
Q: How do I update my Target Circle Card information in financial planning tools or data aggregators?
A: Due to recent changes, your Target Circle Card information won't update automatically in third party financial planning tools. You'll need to refresh the information manually. For steps to refresh your Target Circle Card information, please contact your third-party financial tool provider. If you would like to export your Target Circle Card transactions, please see the Q&A below.
Please keep in mind, there are security risks in sharing your Manage my Target Circle Card credentials with any third party. You are responsible for any transactions or activities performed, as well as any risks or losses that result from the sharing of your credentials.
Also, third party sites may have different privacy and security policies than we do. You should review the privacy and security policies of any third-party website before you provide personal or confidential information."

@mlhill527 Just trying to be helpful: Before reconnecting, make sure you explicitly disconnect the account, quit out of Quicken and restart. This will make sure it completely forgets the existing connection. Good luck!

welp, tried this. Still getting Are you sure you typed your password right error. I guess Target is gonna join PayPal in Quicken Jail. Password works just fine on Target site. Fortunately, don't use the card much so no biggie. Apparently, just my reward for renewing Quicken.

Please excuse the pedant in me, but are you sure? The credentials for www.target.com (the shopping site) and mytargetcirclecard.target.com (the credit card site) are separate and different; shopping uses an email address, credit card uses a username. Double checking wouldn't hurt.

I hate to be the bearer of really annoying news ……………..
Target is at it again. Looks like they've gone back to using 'Target National Bank' as the Financial Institution with the same credentials that worked with 'Target Guest Card'.
For those of you out there who are pointing fingers at Quicken, stop now. This one is all on Target and their bank card issuer, TD Bank.

Sorry. Should have said Target CARD site. But yes, I double triple and quadruple checked. And still getting this error: "Did you mistype your sign-in info? Please re-enter your credentials for Target National Bank." That part, I feel is on Quicken (or Intuit?). However, I tried to change my password on the Target Circle site and that doesn't work at all. Keeps giving me "Something went wrong" after the OTP is entered. The OTP worked to verify phone number, so that is not the problem, it just won't let me change my password. So there is something wrong over there as well.
So, to make a long story short, (too late) there is plenty of blame to go around. And today, Quicken won't connect to Amex. Hopefully, that's just a temporary glitch.0 -
I use Quicken Classic for Windows. I had same problems as others here, but I created a new account changing financial institution from Target Guest Card to Target National Bank. Since then downloads are working well

There is apparently an ongoing issue (with Target) that quicken has yet to resolve and there is no ETA. Disappointing. I haven't been able to download since 8/26/25.
