    Sure thing.

So right now I only have a n of 1.

Maybe 2 PM EST yesterday I made an online purchase using the card. It immediately was listed as pending in the Fidelity App, as expected.

This morning maybe 9:00 EST it went to posted on the app.

By noon it posted to BOTH Quicken Mac and Windows both connected via Fidelity, not Elan.

    Flawless.

I'll see if that continues. No pendings at the moment.

I did an Account Reset of the Elan connection this morning and it fixed the CC-503 error and downloaded transactions.

    Just an interesting aside:

I had commented and complained in another thread or two that Quicken Windows, when selecting Update Now would open Update SETTINGS, not perform an update until a second click. This started some months back.

Since changing Fidelity Visa to Fidelity instead of Elan, that has stopped and it works now as expected!!! How odd, eh?

    Hello All,

The issue with Elan Financial Services throwing CC-503 errors is a known issue. If you're encountering this problem, you can bookmark the Community Alert linked below to be notified of any updates, once available, and to know when the issue is resolved:

For the lag time between what you see on the Fidelity app and what downloads into Quicken, if it's a few hours/half a day, then that delay may be the gap between when Fidelity receives the information and when the information is made available to Quicken.

    Thank you!

@Quicken Kristina the discussion of Lag Time is not between Fidelity app and Quicken, but between Quicken using Fidelity or Elan to connect to the Fidelity Rewards Visa Card. Most claim there is a day difference in downloading a transaction. I am not seeing it.

I can say w certainty transactions u get a notification for early in the day post by the end of the day in Q

There is not a full day lag

Thank you for your replies @Bob. & @Franniedc,

Since Elan and Fidelity use different connection methods (Express Web Connect for one and Express Web Connect + for the other), the difference may be due to when the aggregation service updates information for Quicken. See our article on the different connection types available in Quicken for more information: https://www.quicken.com/support/how-quicken-connects-your-bank/#section-windows-6

    Thank you!

Sure thing, @Quicken Kristina The reason for this discussion "for me" was to see if there were any valid reasons to connect the Visa Reward Card to ELAN rather than Fidelity. If just the lag, then I have no issue staying with Fidelity. If there are other valid reasons to prefer Elan over Fidelity for the connection, they have not been detailed.

Having had no recent connection error codes, I gave the Fidelity Investments EWC+ connection to my Fidelity Rewards Visa (Elan) a try for the last few days. It seems to work OK, but I consider the 1-day delay in transaction download to be a significant concern. I like to be very proactive when it comes to identifying issues/potential fraud on my financial accounts.

So I switched back to Elan Financial Services EWC connection. To my satisfaction, several recent posted transactions that I wanted to see download but would not download moments ago when using the Fidelity Investments connection did download when using the Elan Financial Services connection! This includes the monthly payment of my balances, matches to manually entered transactions and 1 new transaction.

I value the Elan Financial Services' more timely connection to my Fidelity Rewards Visa and will stick with it until I have good reason to use the Fidelity Investments connection.

I hear your concern. I would have this concern especially for a due bill being up to date.
My experience so far is that by the end of the day Q and the fidelity visa are I. Sync

I am now using Fidelity rather than Elan and the daly was less than half a day. I shall stay there.
