Multi-currency reporting for Q Mac -- when?!!

I have been a Quicken user for >20 years but for the last 10+ have been painfully using Parallels desktop to run Windows on my Mac to be able to maintain continuity. I have wanted to switch over to Mac but the deal-breaker is multi-currency. The Mac version seems to support account data in multiple currencies, which is cool, enabling me to download directly from foreign currency accounts, but I am not able to consolidate expense reporting as it would require translating foreign currency (Australian dollars, in my case) into USD. I have heard this is coming, but when? Doesn't seem like it would be too difficult a fix for the wizards at Quicken! Help!

    • No one here knows when any given feature will be done. I wouldn't be surprised if even the developers don't know.
    • There are many "competing" features that people want, and as such even when something gets "on the road map" it is really no telling when they will get to it.
    • What seems easy from the outside, can in fact be very difficult. I think that applies to multiple currencies.

I agree that implementing full multi-currency support is a major lift for the Quicken Mac development team. It touches almost every piece of the program, from the sidebar to reports, from dashboards to budgets, from Bills & Income to Calendars.

That said, I think it's problematic that Idea topics like this one — this the #2-voted most popular feature request — has been marked as "Planned" for more than two years without the developers giving users any idea of what their plans are. I think at least the top voted "Planned" ideas should be updated once a year to give users some idea of the true status: is development work underway? is work scheduled for the upcoming 12 months? is it functionality planned for some undetermined future time?
