Fidelity download migration

Using Quicken for Mac Version 8.3.2 (Build 803.58902.100).

Ever since the Fidelity download migration occurred, I've had duplicate "Add Share" transactions that effectively double the 401k holdings. In researching, all of these Add Share trans are the earliest dates in our fidelity account (10/30/2002). When I delete them the share balances and amounts return to being accurate. However, when I Update transactions, those erroneous transaction re-appear. Waat can I do to correct this?

Our Fidelity brokerage account does not have this problem. My IRA account did have this problem which downloaded Add SHare transaction for securities that I had sold 2-3-4 months ago. But when I deleted those Add Share transactions, they have not re-appeared.

    Fidelity account updates are incorrect and is still not working, Quicken updates in 2025 have been a pain to work through and not the quality product it was in past.

    Work Around: Find the erroneous Add Share transactions (I sorted by Type), add Total Cost of $.01, then Duplicate, change the duplicate to Remove shares. The system adds back the Add Shares transaction but now allows you to Delete that transaction. Basically you have a Buy and a Remove so all balances.

    One other possible fix, if you're seeing duplicate securities resulting in values doubling, is to merge the duplicate securities with the original security. For information on merging securities, please see this article: https://info.quicken.com/mac/merging-securities
