Hello! Is it possible to add Schedule 1? You have Schedule C for self-employed folks, but we self employed people report our health insurance premiums, health savings account deductions, and retirement plan deductions on Schedule 1.

If you're truly running QM2017, as your profile reads, you're WAAAYYYY past the time of receiving any program updates … so there's no hope for you ever receiving such an update.

IF you're not running QM2017, you might want to consider updating your profile.

hi thanks, updated. I'm using 8.3.2 mac but that's not an option in the profile drop down. Just old versions and 'mac other' which I chose.

But "Quicken Mac Subscription" IS an option. Use that since if you're on 8.3.2 you must be on subscription.

In 2018, the 1040 started including schedules 2 & 3 which most people have to do. Why does Quicken classic still not have them in categories?

Many users have asked for it over the years. Here's an example with no resolution. Just closed discussion

Today, an agent on the phone confirmed this. Will quicken be adding categories for Schedules 103 and forms like the 4137 for unreported tips? They are very commonly used forms

Thanks to anyone who can provide insight!! I'll need to decide if I want to move on from quicken. Not having these seemingly basic tax reporting features has made my tax reporting unnecessarily challenging

No one can provide additional insight, as no one here know what, if any, changes are planned by the development team. The good news is that most of the data you need to prepare taxes is readily available from Quicken report, but it hasn't been tweaked to re-organize those reports around the way the older From 1040 has been broken into the simplified 1040 plus Schedules 1, 2 and 3. For income such as unreported tips, you can create your own categories to include in customer reports for tax reporting. It's not ideal, but most people can categorize and report on the data they need for tax purposes.

That said, I agree with the point of this post: the developers should spend some time bringing the tax-related categories, line items, and tax reports into the 2020's!
