    We appreciate you bringing this to our attention!

    Reviewing your account on our end, the last connection to American Express appears as though it was successful. Are you still seeing the FDP-401 error on your side?

    FDP-401 errors typically occur when the bank’s website is temporarily unavailable for Quicken to download transactions. This can happen even if you are able to log in to the bank’s website successfully, often due to high traffic or restrictions on their servers.

    We recommend waiting at least four hours and trying to update the account again.

    However, if the error continues for more than 24 hours, please contact Quicken Support for further assistance.

    I've been getting this occasionally the last few day on the first early morning update of the day. Just running the update again resolves it, so no big deal.

    Thanks for sharing that, @RickO!

    That lines up with what we’ve seen too—FDP-401 tends to pop up intermittently when the bank’s servers are under load, and usually resolves on its own with a retry. Appreciate you confirming that retrying clears it up on your side!

    I also have the FDP-401 Amex issue. I've done a few retries and the problem does not correct itself.

    Update. Had to do like 5 refreshes in a row.

    I’ve had this for the last few weeks with all of my Amex logins and none will resolve with multiple reloads. I tried to delete and add them again, so now I don’t have my accounts at all!

    The retry sometimes works to resolve this…. but sometimes it can take 3- 5 retry's. Annoying but it does eventually connect.

    Same here ! AMEX not syncing - Quicken Simplifi - Very frustrating!
