I have had quicken for decade+ and today in one of my investment accounts I noticed all of the transaction data I have had for that account has been truncated to just the past 3 years.

[Removed - Profanity]

History of my investing gone. And not by me.

Does anyone know when this happened by QUICKEN and if a QUICKEN mod is reading this - you've lost me as a customer and please don't write how something as monumental as deleting historical transactional data was buried in a thousand lines of release notes.

@egghead I've never experienced nor read of anyone having years of transactions deleted by Quicken. Just to be clear about what you're seeing…

    • Is this in your Quicken Mac desktop file, or are you looking on the mobile app or web interface? (The cloud versions usually don't have all the data that's in your desktop file.)
    • This change you've seen is in just one of your investment accounts? Others are fine, with longer history?
    • The affected account's Settings are still set to Detailed investment tracking, not Simple?
    • Do you have backup files from prior to discovering this loss of history? If you open a backup from a week/month/year ago, does it still have your transaction history? Reverting to a recent backup might be one option; otherwise, there might be ways to export the old transactions from an older backup file and import them into your current file with a little work which we could guide you on.

    thanks for response.

    this is on the desktop.

    detailed tracking always

I have backups - can you give detailed instructions as to how to view that backup? I do not want to open a back up and then have to re-go-through every update since then
