how to manage fidelity update wrt incorrect cash balance and doubled fund holdings
I've gone through the update process twice now. My small brokerage link account showed twice as much $$ and I assume that's because Quicken is calling the funds "cash" and adding a cash balance as well. The cash balance is off by $10 and there's no way to fix that I can see. Another non-brokerage account showed double the holdings; I traced that to a dummy 'placeholder' automatically added and deleted it. But on the next download it added the placeholder entry again.

Thank you for reaching out! The issue you describe sounds like the issue described in this Community Alert:
Please try following these instructions from the alert:
- The Money Market security will disappear automatically and be set to cash. Customers whose cash balance is incorrect should perform a reconciliation with the online balance and enter an adjustment to correct the cash balance. From that point on, you will be good to go.
