Quicken downloads from Nordstrom failing with cc-601 error

Nordstom downloads are a mess. First, they started requiring two-factor authentication for every download. That's just annoying.

Second, debit transactions come down as credits, completely messing up my register. And to make matters worse, even when you manually override the credits to enter them correctly as debits, it no longer balances correctly when you reconcile the account.

And third, now you can't download at all, generating a CC-601 error claiming Quicken "cannot find an account with a non-zero balance or with any transactions in the last 12 months."

    You got that right, AbeK. Like lots of folks, I've run through that serious of different errors. Did you notice when you try to set up or reset the account, you often get a message saying that the action was successful, but it still shows up as an account that isn't connected? Unbelievable!

    Amazing … Just did the first flawless One Step Update in a long, long time. Looks like the above-referenced Nordstrom issue is resolved … at least for now :-)

    I guess nothing ever stays the same :-) After a few successful one-step updates where Nortstrom even worked without having to provide a passcode each time, I'm back to being asked for passcodes each time I do an update. I have no idea why. I tried resetting the account but it didn't fix the problem. Very frustrating :-(

    One of the more frustrating aspects of this is that connecting to Nordstrom has been an issue for over a year.

    There was an ongoing thread that seems to have disappeared.

    But apparently it has been at least partly resolved.

    But if I hadn't done a Google search just now, I'd never have found that out.

    I never saw any announcement or email or anything from Quicken indicating that there might have been a resolution, even if it involves 2FA every time.
