Netbenefits not updating consistently

Initially posted on Mac side (in error) on 10/9

Looking at my Netbenefits securities' price histories, they updated on Oct 1, Oct 3 and Oct 7th. I tried updating this morning and while the brokerage account and the 401K say "information updated as of 11pm on 10/8", the price history for each Netbenefits security is showing the last price as of 10/7. All other securities as showing the 10/8 closing price.

    As of this morning Fidelity Netbenefits is still updating for me intermittently. Closing prices are updated some days, but not others. Updated correctly on 10/14, 10/15 and 10/16, did not again for 10/17.

    Non-public 401(k) fund prices for Friday did not download yet today. I believe this also happened last week. Please add to the EWC+ issues list.

    Once again today 10/18, share prices for non-public traded funds from 10/17 in my Fidelity NetBenefit 401k account are not downloading. It was working next day early AM prior to today. Saturday issue? Anyone else having this trouble?

    Yes, I experienced the same thing. Seemed to finally be working throughout this week for the first time for me up until today (10/18).

    Also want to add an additional issue with NetBenefits after seeing the transactions from yesterday's paycheck where 3 of the 4 deferred comp transactions came through as Unidentified Security.

    I, too, have not gotten the latest prices for my non-publicly traded funds in my Fidelity NetBenefits 401(k) account. This also happened with the closing prices for Oct 13th that were not available on the 14th. I had to enter them manually.

    Thank you for your reply @EvDob,

    Most of the time, just hitting the enter key after the link is enough to for it to recognize it as a link.

    Are you also seeing an issue with prices not updating in Fidelity NetBenefits accounts? If you are, is it happening only on weekends, or are you seeing it during the week too? Which specific holdings are not updating?

    Hello @Ducati, @Steve360@, & @cyberphile,

    Thank you for letting us know that prices aren't updating. Which specific holdings is this happening with? Is it an intermittent issue? Is this issue happening on days other than holidays and weekends?

    I look forward to your replies!

    It is now after 10am Pacific time and still no prices from yesterday for non-public funds in Fidelity NetBenefits 401(k)!

    @Quicken Kristina

    In my case, the fund names are OAA1 (CUSIP ID NON40OAA1), OAA7 (CUSIP ID NON40OAA7), OAA3 (CUSIP ID NON40OAA3), OAA2 (CUSIP ID NON40OAA2), OAA4 (CUSIP ID NON40OAA4), and OAA8 (CUSIP ID NON40OAA8). The last time this happened was for the closing prices for Oct 13th. They were never available on the 14th. The prices for the 14th were available on the 15th. I never had these problems when the connection was Direct Connect. The prices were available usually between 8pm and 9pm Pacific time. In addition, the prices were to 6 decimal places using Direct Connect (for many years). Now they are only to 4 places causing minor differences with Fidelity's totals. Why?

    Thank you for the additional information @cyberphile,

    To clarify, you said the prices from the 13th were never available on the 14th. Did they download at all, such as on the 15th, or did those prices never download?

    It is possible that the delayed updates are due to a difference in when the prices are updated on Express Web Connect+ (EWC+) vs Direct Connect, but due to the number of people reporting this issue, I did forward it to the proper channels for further investigation. To contribute to the investigation, @cyberphile & @Steve360@, please navigate to Help>Report a Problem and send a problem report with log files attached. If possible, please also include a screenshot showing the prices that should have updated, but haven't yet.

    Please let me know once you send the problem report, so I can add it to the ticket.

    (CTP-14996)

    So far, this is the first report I've seen of the decimal places being truncated from 6 places to 4 places with the change in connection type to EWC+. Are you also seeing this @Ducati & @Steve360@?

    Thank you!

    Yes, these are 401(k) accounts, so they are NetBenefits. I think it happened last Saturday as well. But now I just redid the update and got the prices. My symbols are OJFB, OJFC, OJFE, OJFF & PEB9.

    Here's a price history of one of my securities showing the change in precision. Fidelity only shows 4 digits to the right of the decimal point on the website (NetBenefits shows only 2!), so I'm not sure Quicken can do anything about that.

    I'm having the same problem today with no updated price for yesterday. Oddly, I'm also now getting a missing security message with the security not in my match list even though it's there. If I try entering the security as new, Quicken tells me the security already exists - it's a vicious loop.

    Thank you for your reply @EvDob,

    I'm glad to hear that prices finally did download. Thank you also for confirming that prices are truncated to 4 decimal places when connected via Express Web Connect and for providing the screenshot.

    I forwarded the issue to the proper channels for further investigation and resolution. I can see you already sent logs, but for anyone else encountering this, please navigate to Help>Report a Problem and submit a problem report with log files attached.

    @Quicken Kristina

    The truncation from 6 digits to 4 digits has been reported already. Once by me on August 15th on this board and to Quicken Support.

    It was also reported on this board on Sept 24th by Chuck85.

    I converted over to EWC last night. I have two data files set up so I can verify over the next few days. One has the EWC set up and the other has the DC set up. Everything appears to have went okay but I have a slight discrepancy in my account values. The "DC" file matches exactly what is reported at Fidelity. The "EWC" file is slightly off on my 401K total value. The only difference I see between the files is the current share price of the individual items. It appears to be 4 digit rounding of the price versus the 6 digit rounding I see with the "DC" file. I will update each file daily for a while to see if things remain constant,

    I am also having problems downloading info for my 401K from Fidelity NetBenefits
    While I have no new transactions, the latest quotes for my NetBenefits funds stopped being updated. If I disable/enable electronic updates, the quotes will update that one time, after that they do not update.
    I also have a brokerage account, an IRA and a credit card with Fidelity and they all seem to be updating correctly.

    After I switched from DC to EWC+ for my Fidelity investment, IRA accounts, and 401k with Netbenefits, I had the same quote updating issues. In addition, when I did get some quotes for my 401k funds (non-public ones), they were only to 4 decimal places whereas they had been 6 decimal places for many years prior. I did report this in my posts in this board and to Quicken support. I finally restored a Quicken backup from just prior to my switch to EWC+. I have been using DC since then with no problems other than losing a few transactions. I'm dreading August 20th when Quicken/Fidelity force me back to EWC+ without fixing all these reported problems!

    @Quicken Kristina

    Also, I finally got the quotes for Oct 17th downloaded at 1:52pm Pacific time. It may have been earlier but that is when I tried again.

    And yes, the quotes for Oct 13th never downloaded on the 14th. I don't remember the latest time on the 14th that I tried but I'm sure is at least late afternoon Pacific time.

    According to my calculations, the Fidelity website may be truncating, but the numbers in Quicken are rounded to 4 decimal places. For example, to 6 places OJFF is $8.032061, the Fidelity website shows $8.032, and Quicken shows $8.0321.

    I checked my investments, and the difference between 4 & 6 decimal places can add up to over $50 for me. Not good! I like to see Quicken match Fidelity's website to within a few pennies.

    The NAV's for my Netbenefits 401(k) account did update Tuesday morning for Monday's prices. However, as of 8:45 Pacific time Wednesday, they did not update for Tuesday's prices.
