Fidelity Downloads - security mismatches

The only way I (intend to) enter data into Quicken for my Fidelity account is by downloading. Despite this, I frequently get security miss matches and have to manually try and identify and change things or enter dummy transactions to correct them. Why does this happen and how can I prevent it?

    Hello @H0YT22,

Thank you for reaching out! To help troubleshoot, please provide additional information. When did you first notice this issue? Did it coincide with when you had to update your accounts to the new connection? Which securities is this happening with? If this is happening with FDRXX, that is a known issue that our teams are working with Fidelity to correct.

I look forward to your reply!

I'm not sure when it started. It's happened a few times before, but I don't recall when. Right before I made the post, I did a download and I got a list of 6-8 miss matched securities. I got frustrated, closed the window, posted here and exited Quicken

    Thank you for you reply,

Security mismatches typically happen because the information coming from the financial institution differs from what Quicken sees in your file for the account(s). The most likely cause of this for Fidelity accounts is the change to the new connection. The data is formatted differently, which can make some existing securities appear new to Quicken, just due to the difference in the data that's sent. For information on security mismatches and how to resolve them, please see this article: https://info.quicken.com/win/securities-comparison-mismatch

If that article does not help resolve the mismatches you're seeing, please provide more details so I can assist.

    Thank you!
