Fidelity Incorrect Balances

    I have what sounds like could be the same problem. Quicken is treating my Fidelity Brokerage cash balance as a mutual fund in the list of holdings instead of the cash balance at the bottom of the portfolio list. The cash balance at the bottom of the portfolio list is a bogus number that never seems to change when downloading updates from Fidelity. I have an identical account structure for another family member here in the same Quicken database and the cash balance matches fine with the Brokerage website and does not list the cash mutual fund. Why is this? What can I do to get rid of the cash mutual fund and have the cash balance show up at the bottom of the portfolio list like it used to?

    • How long has this issue been happening?
    • Does this only happen with one account?
    • Do you have other brokerage accounts?
    • Where is your data file located?
    • Is your file being synced/backed up by any third-party services like Dropbox, Carbonite, or OneDrive?

    I'm having similar issues where my Fidelity 401k is not showing the correct balance. This started when I switched to the new connection method. I know there have been many posts on this so when is Quicken going to get this resolved?? And DON'T blame it on Fidelity. We all pay a subscription fee to Quicken and that should include making sure these things are working correctly BEFORE rolling them out to the users!

    • Are you able to determine what is causing this balance discrepancy? Like missing/duplicate transactions, or other causes.
    • Where is your data file located?
    • Is your file being synced/backed up by any third-party services like Dropbox, Carbonite, or iCloud?
