Yield on Investment Showing Zeros (in Portfolio View)
I've seen previous discussions about this. In one of the posts, here: Estimated income - Page 2 — Quicken
it mentions that a new feature came out to allow you to tell Quicken to use the downloaded Dividend amount to calculate Income. However, I don't see it in the current version (R64.31 Quicken Business & Personal, Windows, Canada). I'm looking at Investing/Portfolio: Options/Portfolio preferences.
Was the feature removed? Or is there a way to activate it?
I know there is an alternate way to get Quicken to calculate the field by manually entering the $/share/year in the Other Info for the Security, but I'm trying to leverage the downloaded Dividend value since it is automatic and doesn't require manual entry whenever the dividend changes.
Thanks,
Joe

Hello @JoeL.,
Thank you for posing this question and sharing your experience.
As far as I can tell, those options may not be available in Quicken Canada. The Help Article doesn’t specify whether this feature is excluded from the Canadian version, so I’ll need to double-check with our escalations team to confirm.
They’re not in today, but I’ll follow up with you as soon as I have an update. In the meantime, please continue using your current workaround.
Thank you!

Hello again @JoeL.,
I have spoken with my team, and I have an update for you.
Currently, this feature is not available in Quicken Canada. They said you can use the Investment Income report to learn about all the investment-related income. The report can also be customized to see the totals for a specific category.
Hope this helps!

Thanks for following up Alyssa. I'll keep using the workaround/old way of doing this.
Hopefully, it will get added to Quicken Canada in the future…it saves quite a bit of manual entry and updating.

Yes, hopefully it can be added sometime soon.
To request this feature to be added in the future, what you can do is create an idea post. This way, other users who have the same or a similar request can vote on your idea.
Our Development and Product teams frequently use our idea posts in order to improve Quicken and implement new features requested by customers.I hope this helps!
